This March, Nikon revamped its COOLPIX mini site to reflect the changing times and also synchronise the site with the launch of their new camera series.

Riding on the communication platform of “Capture More, Feel More” which excites people to use their COOLPIX cameras more to feel the true sense and meaning behind each picture – the COOLPIX mini site now showcases more new and different features.

To bring together photography fans from all over the Asia-Pacific region, Nikon has created a community to post COOLPIX photos onto the mini site and also win prizes through a fun competition. Each week, fans are able to tag any of the photos taken by a featured photographer from each of the 5 countries, Hong Kong, Australia, India, Malaysia and Singapore. The tag with the best message each week will win a new COOLPIX camera.

Together with the incredibly popular “Discover Nikon” Facebook platform launched at the beginning of this year, the new COOLPIX mini site also links to Facebook to further build its community of photography enthusiasts and Nikon fans. It is available to all Nikon users and fans from the Asia Pacific regions, such as Hong Kong, Australia, India, Malaysia and Singapore.

Furthermore, by experimenting with Augmented Reality, Nikon gives its community a more exciting virtual experience. In AR, users can scan a printed code and view it through their webcam to reveal a sensational graphic video on their computer screens. They can then personalise their photos with assorted unique and quirky effects – all of which can be shared on the digital landscape like Facebook.
